Fashion Photography by Nishat Fatima

A Photograph is a document just as much as an article or an essay, and in fashion photography images need to communicate the idea, craft as well as the emotion behind them. It should reveal the subjects personality which is in harmony with the brand it’s associated with and the publication it is on.   

Harness the skills involved in Fashion Photography with industry expert Nishat Fatima in this workshop.   

The flow of the workshop will be as follows:  

1. Introduction to the camera  

2. Introduction to fashion photography 

3. Introduction to the Studio Lighting   

4. Introduction to fashion runways, trend and creation of moodboards.  

Post this workshop, you will be fully equipped as photographers who can function in the fashion industry. You will also learn how to make your portfolio and exhibit some of your work.

Participants will be required to bring their DSLR cameras with a fully charged battery and SD cards as well as their Laptops.

The fee includes refreshments during the workshop along with a meal post the session.

About the Host: 

Nishat Fatima is a Hyderabad-based photographer, writer, educator and brand consultant. Her photographs have appeared in magazines like Harper's Bazaar India, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Verve, Femina, Saveur as well as newspapers such as The Hindu, Mint Lounge, Khaleej Times and The Times UK and online at The Voice of Fashion and CN Traveller India. She was also the editor of the fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar, and is the author of the coffee table book Suneet Varma (niyogi books) and the novel Seriously, Sitara? (Hachette). She is a guest faculty for fashion journalism at NIFT Hyderabad and consulted with brands including Tarun Tahiliani and Good Earth.
